Mathieu grew up on the island of Mayotte, an archipelago in the Indian Ocean between Madagascar and the coast of Mozambique. At the age of 12 he returned to mainland France, to climb with his father and twin brother, Arthur. Now,10 years later he still loves rock climbing, training, competition, and road trips.
